  • Sometimes, I wish I was a girl.

No, not because I'm jealous of their pretty dresses, luxurious hair, or painted toenails. Not because they get a visit from their awesome aunt once a month (though I barely get to see my favorite aunt ). Sometimes I wish I was a girl because sometimes I wish I could just slap a girl across the face. But apparently, as a young Mr. Christopher Brown recently demonstrated, a man committing an act of violence against a woman is frowned upon in our society.

For instance today, whilst in the dining commons, minding my own business and filling a cup with Powerade, a young woman bumps into me. I thought to myself, "She didn't mean to, she just give me a shy smile and apologize, and I'll say 'it's okay.'" But when I look up, I see he glaring at me as if to say "watch where you're filling your cup with Powerade asshole, I'm trying to bump into people here."

    Wtf? I didn't even get a sorry?

So, me being the gentleman that I am, I cursed her under my breath, shot her a look of pure malice, and continued on my way to my table. If that was a guy bumping into me and not apologizing and glaring at me as if I were the one at fault, there's no way I would have taken that (I keeps it real, son). The whole time I was walking to my table I was thinking "Ooh, you are so lucky that you're a girl. If I was a chick you'd be looking like Rihanna after a ride with Chris Brown." (Okay, no more Chris Brown jokes)

Guys, don't you wish that sometimes, when they really deserve it you could be able to do this?

So I don't normally condone violence towards women, but you have to admit, sometimes when the circumstances call for it, some girls deserve a smack in the face.

Guys, would you hit a girl if they really, really deserved it? Girls, what would you do if a guy hit you?

I don't understand blogs and comments that preface a sentiment like "sometimes they deserve it" with "not condoning violence against women". You either condone it or you do not. You either want some kind of right to beat up women or you do not. Anything else is double speak.

  • morbidlywonderful

@LucyWrites - The words "normally" and "but" act as 'bridges' between those two sentiments, allowing me to express both views freely. I really do appreciate you trying to correct me though.

I dunno, I'd probably try my best to defend myself and go apeshit on his ass....... but then again, I'm all talk. Maybe I'd just cower in fear and take the beating........... and then take a baseball bat to his most beloved possession (car, truck, computer, stereo, cat, etc) and/or call the cops?

  • xWaltzAlyssax

what a rude girl, I've never been "hit" by a guy,
but i've been grabbed, and i shoved/punched him into a wall,
it was a crazy reflex. then I just cried.
However, i'm a wimp, I probably wouldn't do anything if I were to get hit.
I would be too much in shock.

Depends. If it was an accident (really an accident, like hitting me when he was turning around), I'd be ok, whatevs.

But if he did it on purpose, I kick the shiz out of him (no upper body strength *flails jelly arms*), or just leave, say forget you, and walk away.....It depends on what kind of mood I'm in.
Btw, sometimes we do deserve it, but sometimes you guys do to and (sometimes) we restrain ourselves from beating you up. We may slap, but it's only if you REALLY deserve it, and you realize, that's pretty much all we do...
  • morbidlywonderful

@sundae_morning - lmao, cat. yeah, destroying his possessions would be a great way to get back at him; I know I'd be devastated.

  • awokenfatality

Damn, that chick sucked. She needs some boxing lesson.

Girls don't usually want to start fights anyways. Even if you give them bad looks being a girl yourself, they pretend not to see it. And I don't want to start a fight and get thrown to jail. Plus, we don't want to mess our faces up.

If a guy came after me, I'll probably fight dirty. It's not really fair if they're more massive than me and have greater upper body strength, it will even it all out more. Now, if it was someone from our dorm. Fuck that, one good hit to the face will do it.

if i was hit... hmmm if a friend, random man stranger, or a abusive lover hit me i would knock his ass out right away!!!!! but if an older brother or my dad hit me i would have to take it cause they have that weird blood power over me. if it was my lil brother i would knock him out too! but if a girl has the nerve to hit a guy seriously then she should be able take a hit from a guy. cause nobody wants to be sexist! hahahahahaha.

man i totally know what you are talking about, even though i dont take to hitting a woman. when i was getting off work the other day i was talking with a coworker at a public bus stop where buses drive by publicly, and like most public places there were people around doing public things like talking or waiting for a bus. so this lady who is in conversation with some guy she was with tells me and my coworker to shut up, and not in a please be quiet kinda way but like a psycho hoes beast kinda way, so i told her just that and she was coming out like she was gonna fight and the three guys including myself just looked at each other like which one of us is gonna have to knock her out cause i don't hit women, but she was crazy and was wanting to fight. mind you the guy she was talking too was getting eye balled by the three of us like when shes done your getting your ass kicked by association so he is trying to apologize for her and save his own ass. granted she was crazy enough to not know which one of us to fight so she just yelled and we all kinda decided to not get into this battle of wits with this unarmed individual and we all left going different ways, but what do you do when a women wants to fight, like really fight, personally im on the defense with no offense but ive never had to fight a women off that i knew i couldnt lay out with one quick hit to the head. im not saying they are a weaker sex, im just saying my head is dense and i know how to throw a punch, so i dont abuse it. ive seen girls beat the hell outta guys too even when they were trying to fight back, i know girls can fight but why cant they pick there battles better. the majority of them would stomp me in intellect, why even try to be physical. i realize that this is a long comment for someone i dont know and have never read before, but man good topic. smell you later.

@LucyWrites - "Double standard of suspicion".  It stinks.

  • GodlessLiberal

I will admit that I have hit a girl. But in my defense, she hit me first, and I warned her that I would retaliate.  Frankly, if I hadn't hit her back it would have given her carte blanche to hit me all she wanted. I hit her no harder than she hit me, and it was on the bicep. But it was the warning shot across the bow that she needed to know that I don't condone of that form of heinous fuckery.

Also, I will admit that I only came to your site because of Scyther.

  • FallenReign

Thing about it is, I would've smiled and apologized. I don't hit guys, because I think that gives them a right to hit me back, even though I don't think that's right. So, if a guy hit me, it wouldn't be because I hit him first, and I'd be pissed and I'd leave. Like, right then.

  • KHMAii_k_a_r_m_ax3

OHHHH!! one punch and that girl got knocked out!!
she shoulda said sorry to you, that's so impolite!

well hey, i wish i was a boy sometimes k...yeah some girls really deserve a punch in the face, but maybe she was having a horrible day...? or pmsing?
some girls just have big fat egos and humongous attitudes & theyre mad for no reason, but there aren't many of those you see everyday. so be happy you dont run into them all the time ^_^ & chill

What a coincidence that I click on you from the sidebar and you go to UMass Amherst! I'm a junior at Amherst College. Besides the point...

I THINK THAT RIHANNA DESERVED THAT SHIT. From what I understand, they haven't had a history of violence or anything... and she seems like SUCH AN ANNOYING girlfriend. She fucking hangs from his testes at every given moment.

There are moments that I have wanted to slapahoe, and I've held back. Violence is BAD. Holla....

  • Galileo7

This guy has great defensive hand techniques and the girl clearly doesn't know how to hit somebody to make them drop their hands.  Of course she did get careless for some reason and relax which set her up for that punch.  I'll confine my comments to fighting tactics and avoid the your question you actually asked, mainly because the youtube video is a good primer on what to do and what not to do in the ring.---Eric

  • morbidlywonderful

@awkward - haha same town; sweet! Yeah, I heard that she hit him first and that she was mad annoying and shit haha.

  • theRyeCatcher

Well, women have always wanted equality right? I think people underestimate females these days, we can put up some hefty fights...! I try my best not to get into trouble (since I tripped over my own foot and busted my lip and my mum shouted at me for "getting into a fight") but I will defend myself when necessary. Why can't guys do the same? My friend backs up Chris Brown because she believes Rihanna started it, but was it really right for him to hit her more than once (the picture made it seemed like he did).

Well anyways, I clicked on you on the plugs because you had Syther as your picture, and it reminded me of a sweet episode of pokemon where he slashed the ketchup bottle, it goes on his eyes and he goes CRAZY. :)

  • Alyxandri

guys should never hit girls unless they are defending themselves from being physically hurt [not defending their pride]. I guess I'm old-fashioned that way, but I still think the guy that holds open doors for girls ends up the better for it in the end. nice girls like gentlemen.

but there are some girls who definitely deserve whatever they get.

@LucyWrites - it's about not giving them "what they deserve" and being a bigger person.

  • bamzilicious26

haha, i'm a girl, and even i think that MOST girls deserve a bitchslap from time to time. >.<
    even i do.

but i don't get physical lol.

  • lauraliuu

If a boy hit me, I wouldn't have to do anything. He'd be dead by the next morning, courtesy of my father.

  • x_onholiday

Yes, some girls deserve to get hit. However, if I were a guy, I wouldn't hit girls. But what do I know? I'm naturally biased.

  • kacyy

PROPS TO YOU DUDE. i think girls sometimes deserve to be roughed up.

  • KassieintheSkywithDiamonds

Not gonna lie, some girls are dickheads and need to get smacked. If a guy ever hit me, I honestly don't know what I'd do. I got slapped before and I just got pissed off and walked away. But if I seriously got hit, I'd probably do nothing. Not gonna lie, I don't like violence. Unless its for kicks of course.

  • PurpleLionzz

    ahaha.
    you should've said something.
if i was a boy i would have.

    but
chris brown on the other hand
i think the only reason he got in so much
trouble was because he like completely
obliterated rihanna. [ did you see the pics???]

a simple punch or slap would not have lead to such
    drama!

  • TacosAndTea

If a guy ever hit me...it was PROBABLY because I was being a bitch and TOTALLY deserved it, like that girl you mentioned.  (I might not of hit her, but I definitely would have very loudly said "WHAT THE HELL??")

No guy has ever hit me though, because I believe to get respect you need to be respectful, regardless of your gender.
